PLANNING FOR FINAL EXAMS (From the ELC)

MWH Final Exam Study Guide

Introduction

Welcome to Mr. Wilson's Modern World History class wiki. The primary purpose of this page is to create a class version of Wikipedia; the secondary purpose is to list important assignments and announcements. You can find the latter on the Assignments page in the sidebar to the right.

Modern World History Wiki

Below are the topics to be edited, in alphabetical order. To become the primary author on a topic, click the Edit tab above and add your name after the topic, like this:

Xiongnu (Mr. Wilson)

The Xiongnu is the example page. Be sure to notice all the features: photographs and/or maps, and, importantly, sources.

Requirements and Grading

Once you've claimed a topic, you're responsible for writing it before the end of the quarter. You must be the primary author on TWO topics per quarter. The pages for each topic have already been created: all you need to do is follow the link and edit the page.

Each entry should be AT A MINIMUM the equivalent of an identification on a test: explain the who, what, where, when and why we care about the topic. Yes, some topics do not have a "when" or a "where"--use your judgment to determine what information you and your classmates should know.

In addition to being the primary author of two entries, you need to make a significant contribution to the wiki by editing the work of your classmates. This is an intentionally vague requirement: you should be an active member of the community, commenting on others' work and editing where necessary. This assessment will be worth 40 points per quarter.

Here's the list of topics:
